The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I am a self taught artist and have worked in oil, acrylic, India ink, charcoal, and watercolor in a wide range of styles and subject matter including landscapes, seascapes, still life, and portraits. I think that watercolor is the most challenging and interesting.
